主要表示经常性、习惯性地做某件事情，也可以用来表示一段时间内有规律地做某件事。一般现在时有两种句型结构，当系动词作谓语的时候：主语+系动词+表语+其他；当实义动词作谓语的时候：主语+动词+宾语+其他。 在英语中，一般现在时主要有有三层含义：首先是用来表示习惯性、经常性做某件事情；其次是用来表示一段时间内有规律地做某件事情；最后是用来表示生活中的客观事实等。我们常见的一般现在时有两种句型结构，我们就来分析如何这两种句型结构？

一、当系动词（be）在句子中作谓语。

1）、这时，一般现在时的肯定结构是：主语+系动词+表语+其他。 比如：He is a good student in the middle school. 他在中学的时候是一个好学生。 The cat is quite beautiful and I like playing with it. 这只猫相当漂亮，我喜欢和它玩耍。 My mother is the most smart woman in my family. 我妈妈是我们家族里面最聪明的女人。

2）、这时，一般现在时的否定结构是：主语+系动词+not+表语+其他。 比如：The dog is not good and it is hurted now. 这个狗并不好，它现在受伤了。 Your mother is not impoetant in this meeting. 你妈妈在这次会议上并不重要。 It is important for your health to pratcise. 锻炼对你的健康来说，是非常重要的。

二、当实义动词在句子中作谓语。

1）、这时，一般现在时的肯定结构是：主语+动词+宾语+其他。 比如：You study hard in school for this exam. 为了这次考试，你应该在学校努力学习。 I get up early in the morning for go to work on time. 为了能准时去上班，我每天很早起床。 My father often runs in the park . 我爸爸经常在公园里跑步。

2）、这时，一般现在时的否定结构是：主语+don’t+动词+宾语+其他。 比如：He don’t go to the shcool every day. 他每天都不去学校。 My mother don’t take part in the meeting. 我妈妈没有参加这次会议。 I don’t finish my homework. 我没有做完作业。
